Meet Cheryl
Cheryl has spent over 20 years making a positive impact in the social service sector. She served for 7 years as a Program Director at a women’s residential facility, demonstrating compassion and leadership. Additionally, she held the position of Clinical Director at a nonprofit community mental health organization, further exemplifying her dedication to assisting others.
For more than a decade, Cheryl served as an associate pastor at a church in Portland, where she was inspired to serve those in need and to deepen her understanding through academic pursuits. Her educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies and a Master of Arts in Counseling. She is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the owner of Sheltered from the Storm Counseling Services.
In her practice, Cheryl provides guidance and support to individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other life challenges, while also supervising aspiring and pre-licensed counselors. She also provides Christian Counseling and spiritual direction for clients seeking a closer relationship with God.
Cheryl is passionate about creating a safe environment for clients’ exploration and healing by integrating faith with various therapeutic approaches in psychology.
